My life is about me and those I love. I am an artist of many talents. How many you ask? More than you can count. I am able to see the amazingness in small things and the complex of others.

Today was awesome

Lily listened the whole day, Michael was really surprised we saw How to Train Your Dragons 2, we went out for dinner, skyped with his mum then went to the park where both our girls behaved. Mystery has a new halter so we used that and she didn’t pull as much or jump on little kids. I’m really happy with it and her because she got rushed by a whole bunch of kids asking to pet her and what not. I had to laugh though cuz Lily got jealous with all the kids around her puppy. She wouldn’t go play for the longest time until daddy picked her up and made her play. Today has be freaking amazing and its still not over. Michael is going to make us s’mores for dessert and then we’re going to play some COD. I really dont want this day to end

The eggs are laid in mudbeds in the early fall, and will hatch mid-winter as Pucklings to forage for syrup amongst the elk.

This is MAJOR news! Nursing and pregnant women are almost always left out of the beautiful lingerie category.

Oh my yess!!! Cute things!

Omg where was this before??

Omg… I was expecting them to be ridiculously priced too but nope they are about the same as the plain nude colored ones I saw at babies-r-us!

Loveeeee

Surprise for the family

Since I was way too tired to let Lily run around the park or do what Michael had planned I got something up my sleeve. We’re going down towards harker heights and go to a few stores before we go to the movie theater. Michael really wants to see How to train your Dragon 2 and since its a nice kids movie it should be perfect for Lily too. Plus Mike seems grumpy so this should make him smile today.

Wisconsin women’s hockey all-time leading scorer Hilary Knight poses nude for ESPN Body Issue

Knight: “There is this image of athletic women as small and petite — the yoga body type. Women in general, we tend to shrink ourselves and not have as much confidence as we should in presenting ourselves and our body types. It’s OK to be fit and healthy and comfortable within your body, whatever frame you have. Since gaining 15 pounds to be at the top of my sport [for the Olympics], I’ve tried to shatter the body image that muscular isn’t feminine.”

HOLY SHIT GOD DAMNNNNNNNNN

my body is ready

That was super nice of them.
And now I’m mad that nobody told us we were given cows. Cause that’s really f*cking nice and nobody mentioned it at all.

American media tends to disregard that anyone donates to the US. And then Amurricans complain about money going abroad because “nobody helped the US in our disasters.”
>.>
Also, do you know how much a cow costs? O.O

It isn’t just a matter of how much a cow costs, its a matter of considering that Masai life is based around their cattle. Its their wealth, their food, and a significant part of their religion. Here’s a quote from Wikipedia:
“Traditional Maasai lifestyle centres around their cattle which constitute their primary source of food. The measure of a man’s wealth is in terms of cattle and children. A herd of 50 cattle is respectable, and the more children the better. A man who has plenty of one but not the other is considered to be poor.[37] A Maasai religious belief relates that God gave them all the cattle on earth, leading to the belief that rustling cattle from other tribes is a matter of taking back what is rightfully theirs, a practice that has become much less common.[38]”
So its not just “they gave us 14 cows”, its that they gave us something that is very important and significant to them, it is more than just a kind gesture that definitely deserves to be known and its a genuine shame that more people don’t know about it.

What is 50 shades of grey about? And what's so bad about it?

tumblinwithdesty:

aconissa:

50 Shades of Grey was originally fanfiction based on the Twilight series, which was then published as a novel (along with 2 subsequent books). It sold over 100 million copies around the world and topped best-seller lists everywhere. It’s about to be adapted into a film, set to come out early next year.

It follows a college student named Ana Steele, who enters a relationship with a man named Christian Grey and is then introduced to a bastardised and abusive parody of BDSM culture.

While the book is paraded as erotica, the relationship between Ana and Christian is far from healthy. The core mantra of the BDSM community is “safe, sane and consensual”, and 50 Shades is anything but. None of the rules of BDSM practices (which are put in place to protect those involved) are actually upheld. Christian is controlling, manipulative, abusive, takes complete advantage of Ana, ignores safe-words, ignores consent, keeps her uneducated about the sexual practices they’re taking part in, and a multitude of other terrible things. Their relationship is completely sickening and unhealthy.

Basically, “the book is a glaring glamorisation of violence against women,” as Amy Bonomi so perfectly put it.

It’s terrible enough that a book like this has been absorbed by people worldwide. Now, we have a film that is expected to be a huge box-office success, and will likely convince countless more young women that it’s okay not to have any autonomy in a relationship, that a man is allowed to control them entirely. It will also show many young men that women are theirs to play with and dominate, thus contributing to antiquated patriarchal values and rape culture.

REBLOG FOREVER.

Boycott this fucking movie, for the love of god. These kinds of ideas are dangerous and set us back as a society

i believe an extract of the book includes the phrase “dick attack” or something equally as rediculous
